Neighborhood News . . .
Community Playground
We share ownership (with Bexley) in a playground, located at the lake. To get there, follow the
boardwalk/path to the lake, cross over the "upper dam", and the playground will be straight ahead. Use it
responsibly, and enjoy. It's a great venue to meet new friends, from both sides of the lake.
Loch Braemar Pool
Loch Braemar is offering Bexley West Residents the opportunity to join their pool at the same discounted prices that they charge their own residents (reflecting a savings of over 20%). They offer family memberships for $295, couples memberships for $225,
one adult and one child for $225 and single adult memberships for $195.
A Babysitter pass is $75. This olympic-size pool with a diving well and fenced-in kiddie pool opens on Memorial Day, and remains open every day until Labor Day. Then, it is open for the first several weekends in September. There are "socials" for all of the major summer holidays, monthly "movie nights" at the pool, and members can use the facilities for no extra charge for their own gatherings.
If you would like to join, visit their website at www.lochbraemar.com and navigate to the "pool" section of their website. Application forms etc. can be obtained there.
Board Members Needed!
It's our neighborhood, a great one at that, and
we need some new volunteers to continue the navigation in to the
future. If you're interested in becoming involved in any way (Board, ACC or Committe Member), please contact any Board Member.
Monthly Board Meetings The Bexley West Board meets monthly. If you are interested in attending any meeting, please contact any member
of the Board, and we'll provide you with the details for the next upcoming meeting.

Unleashed Dogs We've all read
unfortunate stories in the news recently regarding unleashed dogs
attacking people. We must all be observant and vigilant to
assure that this never happens in our neighborhood. Please report
any unleashed dog
immediately to The Chesterfield County Animal Control Office.
Their phone number is 804-748-1683.

Houses For Sale If you're marketing your
house for sale, please encourage
your realtor to include the address of this website in the
marketing materials they prepare.
It will create value and help you sell your house! Also,
please remember that our
existing covenants allow only one "For Sale" sign to be
displayed, typically placed in the
front yard. A current real estate trend is to "point the way" to
houses-for-sale with
multiple signs. Perhaps this method is effective, but it also
litters front entranceways
and corners in the process! So please advise your realtor that
only one sign can be placed.
All others will be removed.
An exception: multiple
signs can temporarily
be displayed for an Open House, but after the Open House concludes, the
extra signs must be removed.
Parking on the Street Our existing
covenants/restrictions prohibit overnight on-street
parking. Keeping vehicles off the streets and in
driveways/garages helps unclutter our
neighborhood's appearance. We will diligently enforce this
restriction, as it is unsafe to leave them there; to other
motorists,
to pedestrians, kids etc. Love thy neighborhood; park thy car.
